Brandon Steinmann is a Christian, husband, father of two amazing boys, and a Sixth Generation Texan. He was elected Montgomery County Clerk in 2022 and is running unopposed for re-election in the March 2026 primary. Brandon is a Conroe native with over 25 years of government relations experience: including over ten years as a senior staffer in the U.S. House of Representatives – working for, among others, Texas Congressmen Kevin Brady and Ted Poe, seven years as Director of the Texas Office of State-Federal Relations working for the Governor, five years leading government/public relations for Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, and two years leading the global government relations division for a billion-dollar company.
Brandon’s dedication to the Republican Party has been life-long. He has been active in local Montgomery County politics since he was eight years old, walked door to door for dozens of campaigns for pizza and donuts since elementary school, founded the Conroe High School Young Republicans, restarted and served as Chairman of the Washington DC State College Republicans, and served as the College Republican National Committee Southern Caucus Chairman. Post college years, he has served many times as a precinct, senatorial, and state delegate for the Republican Party of Texas, showing his dedication to being a part of the grassroots of our party.
Brandon’s undergraduate degree is from The George Washington University and his MPA from The University of Texas at Austin. Additionally, he is a graduate of the Texas Governor’s Executive Development Program and the Texas Fiscal Officers’ Academy. Brandon received a Governor’s Citation for his exemplary work for Texas and was commissioned as an Admiral in the Texas Navy. He continues to serve on a variety of civic and industry association boards, including the Texas Lyceum and Love Heals Youth, and has served as the Chairman of the Texas Travel Industry Association.
Furthermore, he has been elected by his fellow Texas County Clerks as Membership Director, and more recently, as the President-Elect of the Urban Recorders Alliance, which represents all Texas County Clerks whose county has a population over 100,000, as well as serving on a host of committees for the other state clerk organizations, including Chairman of the CDCAT Nominations Committee.
Brandon’s amazing wife, Jessica Steinmann, is the Executive General Counsel of President Trump’s America First Policy Institute and is currently running to replace Congressman Morgan Luttrell in the 8th District – she is the only candidate who lives in our District and has the endorsements of Congressman Luttrell, US Senator Ted Cruz, Gov Greg Abbott, LG Dan Patrick, all of our County Commissioners in the 8th District and almost 150 more local leaders and GOP activists due to her proven conservative credentials.
